Leaps of Faith

A thought that ocurred to me while writing a letter to the younger sister who is in the midst of the college decision making process, and which also spoke to my own current uncertainties about the future...

leaps of faith
sometimes break bones,
but they're also
the only way
to learn how to fly.

It reminds me of a quote that I have written down from first year... I don't really remember where I heard/saw it:
"Sometimes you just have to step out in faith, not even sure what to hope that God will do, but willing to risk that God has already considered what's ahead. God, give me wings or catch me in a cloud... and if I hit the ground, make me whole again."
